Dual
Phase Extraction (DPE) uses a newly approved remedial alternative to
remediate both soil and groundwater at various sites within the region. DPE,
also known as multi-phase extraction or vacuum-enhanced extraction is a
technology that uses a high vacuum system to remove various
combinations of contaminated ground water, petroleum product, and
hydrocarbon vapor from below ground. Use of DPE
technology can often reduce the cleanup time at a contaminated site
and, consequently, result in realized cost savings.
