A large
number of hazardous waste sites and concern over their potential
impacts to human health and the environment has led to stringent
environmental legislation. The cleanup of
contaminated waste sites is subject to cleanup levels that do not
necessarily reflect actual risks to human health and the environment. Consequently, these assessments may result in unnecessary remedial action that can lead to added costs for liable parties. Effective,
properly documented site-specific risk analyses often result in less
stringent cleanup levels (per state and/or federal requirements) and,
thereby, save the client critical time and resources associated with
site cleanup. Progress conducts hazardous waste
assessment and cleanup services for sites under a variety of federal
and state compliance programs. |
